Maxi Twist A’ Saint-Tropez

The second preview of MAXI, after Maxi Moscow Diskow in September. Dan Lacksman and Michel Moers went back to the original tapes for thirteen extended, newly mastered versions of Telex classics. This one stretches their 1979 cover of the early-sixties Twist à Saint-Tropez, first recorded by Les Chats Sauvages: the Belgian trio took a French beach-party twist, stripped it down to cool, deadpan synthesisers, and made it a calling card of their debut, Looking for Saint-Tropez.
