Break Out

The second single from TIME LAB, after Around The Sun earlier in the year. Boris Blank says it began with a brass hook; the track keeps that horn line up front over a hard, bouncing beat, with Dieter Meier’s treated voice working the hook. As usual with the Zurich duo, no fixed song structure to start from — the shape came out of the studio. The video, like the album sleeve, is by Ernst Gamper, the designer behind the covers of You Gotta Say Yes to Another Excess and Stella.
